Why cryogenic deflashing machines are becoming more and more popular? The use of cryogenic deflashing machines has revolutionized the way manufacturers produce high-quality products. Cryogenic deflashing machines use liquid nitrogen to remove excess material from manufactured parts. The process is fast and precise, making it ideal for mass production. In this article, we will explore the advantages of cryogenic deflashing machines and why they replace traditional manual deflashing methods.       First of all, using a cryogenic deflashing machine is environmentally friendly. This makes Operating Room safer, healthier choice for workers and the environment. Secondly, cryogenic deflashers require less maintenance than traditional deflashing methods. This is because high quality spare part enable the machine to operate for a long time and do not require frequent replacement or maintenance.   Thus, these machines save the manufacturer time and business cost. Thirdly, the cryogenic deflashing machines provide higher deflashing precision and accuracy. The process is controlled and consistent, ensuring that each pitch is finished to a high standard. This is useful for products that require smooth edges, such as medical instruments, automotive components, and electronic equipment.   Finally, the cryogenic deflashing machines are versatile. They are available in a wider range of materials including rubber, injection molding (including elastomeric materials) and zinc magnesium aluminum die casting. This flexibility means they can be used in a variety of industries, making them a valuable investment for many companies. All in all, the advantages of low temperature deburring machines make them an excellent choice for manufacturers. They are environmentally friendly, require less maintenance, provide greater precision, and are versatile. The cryogenic deflashing machines are becoming more and more popular in the manufacturing industry as technology advances and machine designs improve. They are likely to continue to be popular as manufacturers seek to produce high-quality products efficiently and cost-effectively.

Cryogenic Deflashing is a Good Method for Rubber Deflashing   Cryogenic deflashing is considered a good method for rubber deflashing due to several reasons: 1.     Precision: Cryogenic deflashing process is a controlled process that can remove flash from rubber components with high precision. It targets the unwanted excess rubber precisely without damaging the desired part geometry. This ensures consistent and accurate results. 2.     Non-destructive: Cryogenic deflashing machine is a non-destructive process, meaning it does not damage or weaken the rubber components during deflashing. This is important for maintaining the structural integrity and functionality of the parts. 3.     Versatility: Cryogenic deburring can be used for a wide range of rubber components, regardless of their shape, size, or complexity. It is suitable for both simple and intricate parts, making it a versatile option for various rubber products. 4.     Efficient: nitrogen shotblast deflashing is a relatively fast process, allowing for high-volume production. The use of liquid nitrogen or other cryogenic media rapidly freezes the rubber parts, and subsequent tumbling or blasting breaks off the flash, ensuring efficient deflashing. 5.     Environmentally-friendly: Cryogenic rubber deflashing is an environmentally-friendly process compared to traditional deflashing methods. It does not involve the use of harsh chemicals or generate harmful waste. Cryogenic media, such as liquid nitrogen, evaporates during the process, leaving no residue behind. 6.     Cost-effective: While cryogenic shotblast deflashing may initially require an investment in specialized equipment, it can be a cost-effective solution in the long run. It reduces labor-intensive manual deflashing and minimizes the need for post-production rework or scrap due to damaged parts. Overall, cryogenic deburring offers advantages in terms of precision, non-destructiveness, versatility, efficiency, environmental impact, and cost-effectiveness, making it a favorable choice for rubber deflashing processes in various industries. When the feeder is running, the motor drives the feeding screw, vibrator or pump to move. At the same time, the material in the measuring hopper flows out. By reducing the weight in the unit time, obtain the actual feeding amount, compare it with the set feeding amount to get the error value, and then adjust the speed of the feeding motor through the PID closed-loop control algorithm to achieve the precise feeding requirements. This process ensures an accurate feeding or dosing during the production process. The general purpose of Loss in Weight feed system is to accurately weigh and control the output of variable products either, continuously or as a batch. Benifits Typical loss–in-weight feeders are used to negate the use of weigh hoppers and to eliminate the impact of material. This system is particularly useful when the product to be weighed is sticky and does not have good flow properties. A. Improve measurement accuracyB. Reduce premixing workloadC. Improve product stabilityD. Reduce dust pollution and be more environmentally friendly. E. Improve work and production efficiency.

Loss-in-Weight Overview Principle In loss-in-weight feeding, the entire feeder, hopper and material are continuously weighed. As the feeder discharges material, the rate of decline in system weight is computed, and feeder speed is adjusted to maintain the desired (set) rate. Advantages, Limitations and Considerations Accuracy – In practice, with today’s advanced weighing and control technologies, reliably high performance accuracy is routinely realized, notwithstanding the significant demands placed on weighing and control operations in loss-in-weight feeding.   Range – Loss-in-weight feeding systems are available for the complete range of rates encountered in plastics compounding and extrusion operations.   Material Handling - Any feeding device suitable to the process material can be employed (e.g., screw, auger, vibrating tray, etc.). Even liquids whose specific gravity varies can be gravimetrically controlled by substituting the hopper/feeder with a holding tank and pump or control valve. (Related info)   Material Containment - Loss-in-weight feeders readily lend themselves to complete material containment where dusting or safety/toxicity concerns apply.   Tare – Under the loss-in-weight principle, moment-to-moment differences in weight matter, not absolute weight. Thus, for the purpose of feed rate control, tare becomes irrelevant.   Weighing – Considering the fact that loss-in-weight feeding involves the accurate detection of small, moment-to-moment changes in system weight while simultaneously weighing a relatively massive feeding system, the demands on the weighing system are substantial. Such measurement requires the highest possible levels of resolution, linearity and stability along with sophisticated filtering and signal processing to extract meaningful weight data from spurious disturbances such as jostling or ambient vibration in the process environment.    Isolation – Loss-in-weight feeders must be effectively isolated from their environment for accurate weighing. Flexible supply and discharge connections typically suffice for process connections, and appropriate measures may be needed at installation to assure that in-plant vibration is not transmitted to the feeder through its mounts.   Refill - Periodic hopper replenishment is required. During this intentionally brief phase, whether accomplished manually or by an automated system, weight measurement is unavailable due to the inflow of material, temporarily preventing true gravimetric control. For materials whose density does not increase appreciably with increasing headload (such as pellets, for example), feeder speed can be held constant throughout refill. Or, for variable-density powders, granules and the like, feeder speed may be automatically reduced to gradually slow feeder speed during refill, accurately compensating for the effect of increasing headload-related material compaction. (Related info)   Size - Unlike the other two operating principles presented below, the physical size and installation footprint of loss-in-weight feeding systems roughly corresponds to its feed rate range. This makes for a relatively small and compact feeder when handling additives, a major benefit where space is at a premium such as when clustering units over an extruder inlet. However, physical size may become a concern for higher rate installations. High-rate feeders tend to be large, require a correspondingly large installation footprint, and may also require a significant support structure. Because of its high accuracy, innate material handling flexibility and ease of material containment, combined with enabling advances in weighing and control, loss-in-weight feeding has matured to become the dominant approach to gravimetric flow rate control since its introduction nearly 50 years ago.
